I had never heard of this guy, but caught some of his gig last night on Comedy Central. Pretty cool.

He’s dead. He was a child molester. He was crazy. He was white. He had three different faces. He was totally over-rated. But you can’t not like this video, man. A classic.

So today driving to work I listen to Same Old Man, by John Hiatt. On there is Cherry Red, which is a really cool up-tempo song (bordering on pop) lamenting a lost love and all that stuff. But the last verse really caught my ear, I thought it was beautiful…

So this morning I need to open and Users and Groups snap-in (to activate the Administrator account) and find it isn’t in the management console anymore. Okay, I think, I’ll just look up on that there interweb how you access it in Windows 7. I find the info – you have to open the lusrmgr.msc snap-in on its own, not through the management console.
Odd, I think, but okay.
I open it, only to find that there entire thing is inactive in Home Premium!!
Seriously?
What the fuck? Do users of Home Premium not need to manage their user accounts? Don’t we need to activate the admin account? This pissed me off hugely! I love MS products, I really do and I think they get a bad steer most of the time, but this is the kind of shit they do that makes people think they are dumb-asses because this IS a dum-ass move! I mean come ON!
Turns out I have to set the account active using the command line.
Nothing is ever easy.

So, in the early nineties Bruce had ditched the E Street Band and hired some session musicians and everyone generally agrees he produced some of his weakest work then, but I just can’t argue with this song. It’s mega, and the title track of what’s widely considered his worst album (I personally prefer that album to Lucky Town, though, which was released on the same day).
